More GoDaddy woes

Well, upper level support has confirmed that they are indeed running .NET 3.5 SP1 on their shared hosting servers. This seems unlikely since the Entity assemblies are missing. I've replied yet again so we'll see what happens this time. I hope it ends up being a simple fix.

Hey Arian. I did some contracts at Aeshen a while back, and I remember hearing your name. Awesome :)

So, I confirmed (6 months ago) that Godaddy did *not* have 3.5 Sp1 then, and I was getting what sounds like the same problem. I even tried a Bin deploy like you and ran into the same issues there. Other people (at that time) had the same issues as well.

Eventually, I moved to a VPS (still on Godaddy). A lot more a month, but it has totally been worth it. Ran the platform installer and was in business.

Anyway, I recommend that you get off of shared hosting if it's at all an option. I've wasted so much time trying to solve issues that essentially went away with VPS.

Take care,
Erik

Well I hope you are right.

I have had a conversion with Godaddy "again" recently. (2 weeks ago)

They say they do not have .NET 3.5 SP1. only .NET 3.5.
