Google RSS Feeds

Yay!  Google has added an RSS reader to their product lineup.  With multiple computers it can be a pain to keep a feed list in sync, so I've always wanted a good online solution (as with everything else).  I know that there are other solutions out there, but I like keeping the services unified as much as possible.  Google works pretty well overall.  I have some complaints about Google Mail and Google Groups, but I like most of the features.  They get better and better over time, and are very useable even in current beta status.

If you have a lot of feeds to keep track of try, give Google Reader a try.

It's good to see Google getting into this market, though their offering doesn't match up to the current players out there, namely Bloglines and Newsgator. Although a beta product, I'd still expect Google to make their product at least usable before releasing it to the public. Let's hope they listen to the feedback and improve it... They've certainly got the ability to turn Google Reader into an excellent product! :-) 10/22/2005 9:02 AM | Mun

I agree. As I've had more chance to use it, I really like the interface, but it's terribly unstable. I will often add a feed and need to restart the browser to see it! It doesn't always read the existing entries in a blog, even after I tell it to. Again though, restarting the browser helps. Maybe it works better in Firefox. So far I've only tried IE. 10/22/2005 10:27 AM | Arian
